Thankful

I am thankful for cowboy boots.

I am thankful for cast iron.

I am thankful to have a job and to work with people who are inspiring.

I am thankful for Coco Chanel Mademoiselle.

I am thankful for all the animals who have been and are currently in my life.

I am thankful for my husband who tolerates more then anyone should.

I am thankful for my daughter who continues to teach me daily.

I am thankful for double cream brie.

I am thankful for my brothers and sisters who I cannot imagine not having in my life. I love them all so much and miss them. I am grateful we had each other during the very trying times in our lives as we have grown up. Not sure I would have made it without them.

I am thankful for my dad, who has taught me the work ethic and character which I am grateful to have. I am thankful I am a “daddy’s girl.”

I am thankful for my step mom Mary who I respect so much and who never gave up on me. And as she reminded me, “I am her perfectly good girl.”

I am thankful for chocolate Twizzlers and Gin rummy.

I am so thankful for the ranch and how humble it makes me feel.

I am thankful for Gail, who I hated when I was a kid, but who I now respect and love hanging out with (even though we don’t get to do it enough.)

I am thankful for Scott and Jessi. You have both enriched my life so much and I can’t imagine how we would have made it the past few years without you both.

I am thankful for Mike and Heather, Pete, Brian and Nick who, along with me, was Inside Scarlet. I learned so much from all of you. I am so proud of what we accomplished and for the experiences we had together.

I am thankful for my Grandma Pat who was there when I needed her most.

I am thankful for wine and the amazing meals and friends who I have shared it with.

I am thankful for the Douglas’ and there unwavering patience with us.

I am thankful for this community I live in. It’s just right.

I am thankful for the Wilson sisters and their mother Janeice who are teaching me the “right way” to partner with horses.

I am thankful for the garden I have in the summer.

I am thankful for my guitar and the music that was and is made on it.
